A close friend of mine has a neice who has not only has a rare brain desease but Cones Disease as well. There is no treatment for the Cones and it will eventually lead to blindness. Her niece is a musician, cook, housekeeper, teacher, wife and mother. This disease is taking her eyesight so rapidly that she will be blind within a year. To add to her plight, her only daughter was killed in a car accident a few months ago when the car she was riding was hit by a drunk driver. Her niece treasures every sunrise and every sunset. It's because the only time she has is right now, and she will never know what the future brings. We used to say that it was critical to have PMA (Positive Mental Attitude). Without a PMA, it's difficult to make it through life. As Realtors® we need to keep an positive up-look in life. We have to stay upbeat and appreciate everything we have right now. We don't need trips to bahamas... We don't need artificial fingernals... We don't need to go to fancy restaurants... We don't need the granite, pools or large homes... While I see this market as acres of diamonds, other agents see it as barren dirt. Sometimes life hands us lemons, just deal with it and move on. And in the end, it's all about your friends and family. That's where your wealth is. Retirees Also Get Foreclosed Upon

The only things that we need is food, shelter and love. We don't need material "stuff". There is a whole generation that has grown up with wants instead of needs. Maybe it's a really good thing that we are learning to appreciate what we have right now. Maybe this recession is not really that bad.

Leolinda - that is oh so true..........oh that woman.....all that she's had to and will still have to go through that most of us never have to.........ahh to appreciate the richness of our lives before we're reminded by their loss.
