I closed another transaction today. The couple contacted me from my internet website. They liked the ease of use of my website and because I said Mahalo.
Mahalo.......If you haven't been to Hawaii, Mahalo is a very polite way of saying Thank You. The one word that made a difference to a Canadian couple who frequently visited Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii.
There were only 223 homes for sale in Sun City Grand when they began their internet search. They freque
ntly called to ask me about certain property features, location and upgrades. After a few weeks of emails and telephone calls, they arrived in Sun City Grand.
They love to play golf and were especially intrigued by the palm trees on the golf courses, especially on Cimarron Golf Course. That was the exact reason why I built my home near Cimarron in Sun City Grand. The hundreds and hundreds of palm trees whose leaves whispering in the breeze is like a sonnet that reminds me of the palm trees on Kamehameha Avenue in Hilo - my hometown.
They selected 14 homes to see. The objective was to purchase a home within a week and have it inspected prior to their departure. He especially liked a home with a fireplace, she did not. She liked a home with lots of tile, he did not. It reminded me of the three bears in selecting the ideal bed. In the first two days, they saw all 14 homes and 6 others that I selected.
On the third day, they had it narrowed to 4 homes. They went back to their hotel to think about all of the pros and cons of each property.
When I met them on the forth day, I thought they were going to tell me that they had wanted to purchase the home with the expansive yard. Instead, they fell in love with the home close to the recreation center, the one with an entertainment center, tile and carpet and a pretty backyard with a very nice extended patio. This will be their winter vacation home!
The offer was written and accepted and the home was inspected the next day. They flew back to Canada satisfied with their purchase.
It's been a few weeks and the buyers returned yesterday. With smiles from ear to ear they received their keys today to their Sun City Grand home.
